again, i've been proper thin on the blog and business front, there's no excuse. i tried to keep blaming it on working late hours, but that will only be a hindrance if i allow it to be.

whilst working in the croydon branch, a colleague correctly pointed out, if i wanted it enough then work shouldnt stop me.....i take that shit on board and is fixing my game up!

I went to see quantic the other day with t'other half. And boy were we not dissapointed! the whole evening was dripping with an arty stench from the get go! It wasnt a big audience which made the whole set seem much more intimate...really good vibed summer music!

Works going alright of late, coming in quite fast as i approach the thick of summers heat.Enjoying the branding ive just started however i want to draft some real dynamic styles for a guy im working for in London and got a big project planned for a close friend who i believe understands the value of branding yourself effectively.Thinking caps donned i intend on meeting up with him next week to discuss further work.

Recently bought the heaviest (in weight not gangsterness) book 'made with fontfont' by spiekermann which is thus far a very detailed breakdown on his thoughts and setup of fontfont as a company,brand and obviously as a font supplier.Cant wait to get further into it!

On that note i have been working on my own fonts too! (soon to be available from myself).Im working on names for one of them as we speak (refer to picture accompanied of sample letter 'a') whilst working on some branding i did for a previous client who worked in the film industry i looked at the close relationship between film reels and the spherical shapes they consisted of,however some of the shapes were unique due to there die-cut notches and so built up letterforms this is what one of my fonts are bases around.

Today also is the day. I get to pick up the first sample ntrprnrs tshirt at long last, so keep posted regarding this part for all of those of you who might be interested in helping us out and picking up yourself a fresh garm from a soon to be combustive brand and company!

you'll have to excuse my laziness in posts for the past week but i've been bogged down with workin late shifts selling....again....bullshit mobile phones.

i just thought i'd chuck a quick post up regarding the latest casette playa x nike colab. its the second colab between the two and this time they've let carrie mundane (stylist, designer and general badgyal of cassette playa!) loose on the dunk - hi, and here's what she's produced...



i think its a wicked trainer but im not entirely feeling the design, espcially compared to the nike blazer she dropped (see below), that first colab i must say was fuckin shit hot and i just dont think she's reached those levels...



regardless, shes the one at the moment and im forever attracted to her out there designs....keep up the good work girl!

...finally i cannot second enough threens mention of jonny riddim from the man CV.....biggest fucking CHOON!

right so, once upon a time there was a store in my home toon called ROOTS.it was a funky little corner store and sold the style of garments that i like the most.Supreme being then was a small company and didnt have much of a following so wasnt as shit as it is today.They stocked a military number with a design on the back that i loved. After a while roots closed due to the soul just being a shit place to have a store then the company started to get bigger.this line of coat was then a permanent resident in its autumn/winter range due to it being popular.

whilst searching for this line i stumbled across a young new online store called unify-shop.com...they stock specifically in supreme being rags (however not the coat i wanted) it came to my attention that they had a design competition in which the lucky winner received 150quids worth of free gear if they won...i entered on the condition that the theme was UNIFY.the comp ends on the 31st and the winner announced on the 1st of every month.no late entries allowed.it has to be before 12pm on the 31st to be entered.ok i think.on monday 1st..theres me and 3 other entries.the others im afraid through arrogance to say were shit and im a certain winner....but low and behold....a 'suprise' late entry goes in and wins the title! what the fuck??? surely this is not competition rules or is it a fix like a friend of mine has done in the past with his company to get people looking and entering the website? i cant believe it...to be honest the guys work is sick! (not to sound too ghetto) it is bold and shows a distinctive style with charisma! i take a knee and allow him to collect the title with no fuss however the rules are broken here...they clearly stated this underneath...im pretty fucked off as you can imagine however im not gonna complain to them because of obvious reasons.shitdicktits.

lesson here,dont trust unify or shit like that.i despise false moves.

A while back, a guy called Frank Warren set up a blog called 'PostSecrets.'

The premise is this. People anonymously send in a postcard with a secret of theirs on it. The secrets have to be true, and not told to anyone.

..If you don't know who he is, then you're an idiot! Only joking, I love you all with a genuine passion. I'll cuddle you so bloody hard - Anyway! Damu is someone I've been tracking for a while, and is proof if proof be needed that talent will surface. I watched him on youtube years ago, shuffling around in his record laden basement, make one of the dopest beats I've ever heard, and was hooked. That video has since been deleted, but from it, has been born a legend. He now works with People Under the Stairs, and his style is dope. DOOOOOOPE!!!! I'll post a couple of beats up now, and will leave you be to do your own research. It's probably worth me telling you that the beats I'm posting are older ones, and that he gets better with every song. And these songs are amazing. Time for me to shoot off....that is of course unless you want a cuddle - in which case, I'm home all evening.
