BANNED - LEAKED
So the Air Jordan 1 Retro High 'Banned' have a sick little story behind them; they were originally banned by the NBA in 1985 for violating the league’s dress code, they featured crossed out graphics on the heels and special insoles and we also saw the return of the original Nike Air logo on the tongue making collectors weak at the knees.
Turns out the idea of release was scrapped but fortunately a few pairs leaked which we have seen pictures of popping up on blogs recently and believe it or not, a few pairs turned up at a Nike outlet in Portland! As you can imagine they didn't stay there long and at a price of $109.99 I'm not suprised at all! Don't worry though, if you're willing to pay a ridiculously painful price for them they can now be found, yes... on eBay via vnds

Who are you and what do you do?
I go by a few names, Arghs, Qualms and a few more but known for my crew mostly LFH.
I dabble in all areas of vandalism and illustration.
Why do you do what you do?
If I didn't do this id be in a very bad state of mind. graffiti saved my life! ha
How do you work?
not working at the moment. but mostly just shit jobs to pay the bills and do what I do ?
What’s your background?
Australian. but been about UK and Europe
How has your practice changed over time?
Pushing myself to be the best i can. i was a late starter so had to step my game up and progress as much as possible
What art do you most identify with?
Mostly graff. but I draw everyday. people only usually see my drawings if they know me.
What work do you most enjoy doing?
probably drawing. very calming.
What’s your strongest memory from your childhood?
My art teacher telling me ''Drawing cartoons wont get you anywhere in life'' I failed that course. bitch. haha
What themes do you pursue?
I'm more of a illustration sorta theme. try not to take it all to seriously. loses the fun of it.
What’s your favourite art work?
Street work, anything from a dope handstyle to a bangin piece.
What’s your favourite medium to work in?
I love spray paint and just nice markers with a blackbook.
What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Chef work, Bar work, Screen printing.
What is your artistic outlook on life?
Be the best you can at what ever form of art you do. and fuck doing the same old shit. do something different!!

I was blagging a daytime illegal mural in London and a little girl said to her dad, ''is that man vandalizing?'' the dad replied, ''no, he's just decorating.''
What are you currently listening to?
Loving my UK hip-hop and Aussie Hip-hop. both very underrated!
Is the artistic life lonely? What do you do to counteract it?
it can be in a good or bad way, depends what you do with it. its nice to go bombing by yourself at night. quiet calming.
and drawing is more like meditating than actually drawing. clears your head.
What do you dislike about the creative world?
Trends. lots of kids and even adults are getting into street art and graff cos its ''cool''
its like seeing a 13 year old kid smoke. just doing it for the look.
