ONE DAY INTENSIVE COURSE
Taking one of our full day print courses gives you a broad insight into the process of screen printing. The course runs from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, on either Saturday or Sundays and even includes a wood fired pizza for lunch!
You’ll learn about the whole process from start to finish. Starting on the computer to learn about artworking, setup and exposure of your own design, before spending the afternoon hand pulling your 2 colour prints onto paper.

Welcome! Come in, grab a drink and introduce yourselves. We’re looking forward to working with you. Participants asked to bring any artwork that they may have for us to see and advise you on for printing during the course*. In the first part of the session we will cover all the fundamentals of art work setup, screen selection, emulsion coating and exposure, as well as discussing the applications, pros and cons involved with in screen printing process.
*All designs that are to be printed on the day are required to be with us at least 5 working days in advance of the course
Participants will learn about the many variables involved in the screen printing process. You will learn about registration, ink choice, squeegee techniques and good printing practices/tips. Participants will then transfer their own designs onto screens and select their ink ready to use for printing.
In the final part of the workshop you will produce your own 2 colour print using the techniques and skills learned earlier in the session. GFSmith paper stock will be provided and each participant will be able to take home approximately 20x 2 colour A3 prints of their own design!
Participants are welcome to bring their own paper/card etc to print on in addition to those is supplied.
